Telepresence Stairs, an interactive installation connecting V2 ad the NAI (National Architecture Institute/ Rotterdam/ NL) in real time. Two stairs in different buildings. Every movement on each step is registered and the data sent via internet to the other location. There, some watersounds start playing. The idea is to visualize and experience the physical presence of another location, normally invisible for the observer. The walking up and down the stairs is implicated and contextualized with the raising sealevel caused by global warming.
