A studio film project in response to my other film, Canvas Qatsi. This is done at University of Detroit Mercy School of Architecture to come up with an innovative urban plan. The studio had to investigate and collaborate an urban plan along the Detroit's main bloodline, Woodward Avenue. The site celebrated in this film stretches from Highland Park's Model T Plaza Shopping Center to Boston Boulevard. Four sections was split to identify and simplify the urban plan - acoustic, organic, assembly, and creative. Each clip shows a potential design for each section. The design, however, may look minimal, but essential to start exponentially.
Amy Green-Deines taught the studio at University of Detroit Mercy. Will Alsop and William Massie offered to co-teach and analyze the studio.
